The Supreme Court fails America again
The Supreme Court ruled today in favor of allowing foreign terrorism suspects held at Guantanamo Bay to have Constitutional rights to challenge their detention in U.S. civilian courts.
Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the court, said, "The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times."
The only problem with Justice Kennedy's statement is that the laws and Constitution were designed to govern United States citizens, not foreign enemies at war with America.
This ruling is just another in a series of fundamental misunderstandings of the purpose of American government and the Constitution including the mere notion that illegal immigrants have rights under American laws.
President Bush, and Presidential candidates John McCain and Barrack Obama, have all supported closing the Guantanamo Bay prison.

This, this my friends, is one mistake we're going to rue. One ruling we're going to absolutely regret. The second we start trying these clowns like they're within the realm of people who have 'played by the rules' is the second our legal system will let them out due to a technical error in the processing that seems to release so many otherwise deserving criminals.

This is a mistake. A mistake. God protect our children, because we apparently won't.

Below is the Preamble to The Constitution of the United States. It clearly says that the laws and liberties provided for in the Constitution are for the people of the United States. Since 5 Justices of the Supreme Court cannot seem to comprehend this simple concept, perhaps it is time that "We The people" Petition Congress to Impeach them and overturn not only this insane ruling but others.
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
